MISSION:

Provide reliable and quality supply of electricity and water for sustainable development of Bahrain.


VISION:

By 2017 EWA is a Model of Excellence in the provision of Elecricity & Water services with minimum interruptions and timely revenue collection.

 

The pillars of EWA Strategy supporting the Vision are:

  • Delivering a responsive and consistent service to customers
  • Providing sufficient and sustainable capacity supporting the Kingdom of Bahrain's Economic Development
  • Ensuring effective financial management of EWA's affairs
  • Maintaining a talented, high performing workforce to deliver on the Authorities Objectives 


AUTHORITY'S OBJECTIVES:

  • Provide excellent, reliable, cost effective and quality supply of electricity and water to different sectors of consumers.

  • Make plans and conduct studies to complete existing projects as well as future projects for the expansion of the Ministry’s services to consumers.

  • Maintain, develop and improve the existing transmission and distribution network to ensure highest standards of operational efficiency and minimum energy loss.

  • Meet the Kingdom’s ever increasing demands for electricity and water consumption.

  • Utilise information technology and other advanced systems like Geographical Information System (GIS), Customer Services System (CSS) and Resource Planning Project to provide excellent customer services.

  • Promote public awareness for conservation of electricity and water through best possible methods and tools.

  • Develop employee skills by a system of on-going training programmes.

  • Achieve a high degree of Bahrainisation.
