HE The Minister receives ASRY CEO

 

Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Company (ASRY) Chief Executive Officer Andrew Shaw, Secretary of the Board of Directors Abdul Razzaq Jafar Zain Al Abidin and Senior Projects Manager Sauvir Sarkar.
During their meeting, the minister reviewed the close relationship between the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) and ASRY, especially in the water and renewable energy sectors.
They discussed opportunities for improvement and ideas and proposals that would develop a mechanism of cooperation between the two sides. The company's desire to benefit from the experiences of the Sustainable Energy Unit in the rationalization of energy consumption in the company, as well as ASRY taking advantage of vast open areas at its site to install solar panels was also discussed.
The company is seeking to contribute to achieving Bahrain’s national goals in the use of clean energy as well as rationalising consumption of traditional electricity and improving energy efficiency.
The minister thanked ASRY for the initiative and said the government encourages initiatives that contribute to achieving national goals in the use of renewable energy and energy efficiency.
The delegation thanked the minister for the warm reception and hospitality and for the cooperation they receive from the EWA and for  providing the best services and quality.
The meeting was attended by Advisor to the Minister Dr. Ahmed Hashem.
