HE The Minister receives Kuwait officials


Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received former Secretary General of Kuwait’s Supreme Council for Planning and Development and former Managing Director of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation Hashim Al-Refai.
Director of the Bahrain Engineering Practice Committee and Vice President of the Bahrain Society of Engineers Abdulnabi Al-Sabah was also present.
The Minister welcomed the visitors and reviewed with them a number of issues related to the engineering profession.
The visitors also thanked the minister for his continuous support, encouragement and patronage of conferences and engineering events held in Bahrain and organised by the Bahrain Society of Engineers in collaboration with leading institutions.
The minister praised the efforts of the society and the committee for serving the engineering sector professionally. He also assured his continued support and all possible assistance in achieving the hopes and aspirations of engineers in Bahrain.
Dr. Mirza also applauded the great efforts of Mr. Al-Rifai during his previous tenure in Kuwait, during which he sought to strengthen the strong relations between the two countries in a number of engineering fields as well as his interest in renewable energy and energy efficiency fields.
He said efforts being made in terms of the exchange of experiences and expertise in the government sector or at the level of joint stock companies and institutions of Kuwait in sustainable energy projects were praiseworthy.
The visitors thanked the minister and officials for the welcome and the hospitality and praised the minister’s efforts in promoting the electricity, water and renewable energy sector in Bahrain.
